Hi Taliesin (,my Administrative Assistant, here, whom does a good job. Wink)
Enjoy your Thanksgivingtime holiday vacation.
If you are not fortunate enough to get one, or are alone this year, just imagine your deserved, I'm sure, vacation time through meditation and visualization. That can be very invigorating, and even healing, for many. And, also know, that there are people here, at this very site, that care about you. Bye for now. See ya around the bend. -SDRoads

Welcome Rains
My Step
I had the fortune to talk to my step daughter today, whom I refer to as my daughter. She said something amazing to me. It truely blew me away. I will share that, hopefully, after class. Today, I told Key about what happened to us, last night, in our sleep. I don't recall an answer. I further told him that I screamed first, then, not long after, he followed suit. Perhaps he heard me in his subconcious, and then, proceeded to have a nightmare. I am happy and thankful that my daughter called. It helped make for an extra nice day after such a rough night. I am hoping she can come visit for 2 weeks soon. She will be traveling from England. Off to class I go. Have a nice day. -SD

UPDATE: The other day, I had the thought: I might just be able to do this. You know, the traveling thing. With respect to traveling on a ship, I might just do. Then, me daughter in England called, and that just confirmed my thoughts. We shall see. Any of you with any kind of phobias, that are quite handicapping, actually, contact me. We can work on these things together. More on this later. -SD 11/26/2008

A Word Of Advice
I feel that one should know the whole scope of a situation, before making judgement. I also feel that one should have empathy, and be willing to implore that capability, before casting judgement, and harsh words.

Photo from the SDR files: Me, at the IHOP (International House of Pancakes). It is one of my favorite places to go to relax and contemplate, if one can do both at the same time. I guess it all depends on what you are contemplating on. LoL I used to go to another IHOP when I lived by the beach, regularly, with a friend of mine whom is trans gender. I feel I have spelled that correctly. I do not discriminate against anyone. I am no longer in touch with that individual, however, it does bring back fond memories. We would go everywhere together, and I just loved his, her, shoes! It was a good time. Could have been the best girl friend, girl who is a friend, to clarify, I ever had. Wink

SDRoads And Shanathan Nearly Struck By A Car!
It happened a handful of moments ago, while walking to the local elementary school. The woman responsible motioned an apology with her hands. But does that really help? I am still shaken. She had to have gone through a solid red, for we were one third through the lighted cross walk. It happened that fast. Thank you God for our safety. And praise Jesus. For any of you interested in that club I wrote I will be starting up, the prayer group, please contact me at

The War
Good news!! Gas rates have plummeted in Pasadena, California! A few moments ago, the price was $1.87 per gallon at one gas station, and then just dropped to $1.85, in an attempt by the gas station owner to compete with the nearby gas station, hence the use of the word, war. It is a price war, and everybody is winning. *SDRoads, reporting

The Most Beautiful House

It brings back warm memories of a house I lived in in Dedham, Mass. as a child, one Christmas. I don*t recall my parents owning that house for 2 Christmastimes. And back to California we went. Now, Shanathan and I are entering smokey territory, currently owned and taken possession of by the flames.
And, here's the house, with more detail information. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=13405%20W.Magnolia%20Blvd.&gbv=2&hl=en&filter=0&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=il

The silence was broken today for a specific and important reason. I will continue to post things today because of that fact, for there is no reason not to. I will not be doing the news, though, at least, the local or international. So, tomorrow is the official moratorium for JonBenét Ramsey, here at this site. The View
This photo makes my apartment building look crooked. Haha This is one of my favorite pictures. I get to see this every morning from my patio and living room window. The sun actually rises on the other side of my apartment each morn. This picture was taken later in the day. But, still, the view is equally stunning in the morning. And I just adore that "Christmas tree". Someone said I should have coffee out there on the stairs every morning. I had the same thought, too. Haven't done it yet. I will. It is very spiritual and healing out there, with The View. -SD

Hello Chicago
Fwd: We are waving the flag now.
It feels like New Year*s Eve! My youngest just asked if he could write "Obama" on the flag as he waved the flag. I have tears of joy. I had even done my happy dance. I recall a post I wrote long ago here. Well, not THAT long. LoL I posted, "I Tell Ya, He*s Already In", refering to Obama. It has been a journey for me to that final decision on who to vote for, filled with the heart of emotion, mixed with the science of fact, and the wonder of what really is the truth. It*s like the title of this site reads, "WHO REALLY KNOWS...?" This is such an important decision for us all to collectively make. McCain just began his speech. He just said that this has been a long journey that has come to an end. As he spoke congratulatory of Obama, there were boos, he did not like that, and asked it to stop. He also said Obama*s victory and way command his respect. He wants us to not only congratulate Obama, but also help him in his endeavor for a brighter future for America, our America. It is though this was meant to be. His speech is so warm. He commands my respect. He felt he failed. McCain did not fail. Palin was holding back tears. I hope he runs again in four years, though he feels he is a servant of Her, America, and that is enough for him. They are saying the boos were disturbing. One wondered if some in his crowd, McCain*s crowd, "felt the moment". It was just discussed that the man that just made this speech is the man that could have won, not the (fist) pounding version. God Bless them all. God Bless us all. *SDRoads, reporting

Update to the next post:
More from my friend...
Yes, Barack will speak tonight. Whether it is a victory speech or a concession speech remains to be discovered. People are still voting.
Did you hear that Barack's grandmother died yesterday. That is the woman who raised him for many years. She died one day before the election. It is so sad.

Yes, that is sad. I did hear of that, but, honestly, with all that is going on, I had forgotten. Thank you for reminding me and letting me post your updates at this site. -SD

This Just In!
I just got home from voting and running some errands. There was only about a 10 minute wait at my polling place. My ballot was number 387 in my precinct. I usually vote at 4 or 5 pm and my ballot is usually less than number 100. Today at 11 am I was number 387. Sounds like a big big turnout. That makes the results of the polls less accurate, I think.
My son's job is directly across the street from Grant Park, in Chicago, where Obama will be speaking tonight. They are expecting a million people in the park on the shores of Lake Michigan to hear Obama speak tonight. Wow, a million people! Half of downtown Chicago is starting to close down to make room for the crowds of people, some of which have been waiting since last night. My son is at work, but he will be leaving early snce his building will be closing in the next hour. He can see the whole park from his office window.
