My Step

I had the fortune to talk to my step daughter today, whom I refer to as my daughter. She said something amazing to me. It truely blew me away. I will share that, hopefully, after class. Today, I told Key about what happened to us, last night, in our sleep. I don't recall an answer. I further told him that I screamed first, then, not long after, he followed suit. Perhaps he heard me in his subconcious, and then, proceeded to have a nightmare. I am happy and thankful that my daughter called. It helped make for an extra nice day after such a rough night. I am hoping she can come visit for 2 weeks soon. She will be traveling from England. Off to class I go. Have a nice day. -SD

THE SCREAM

I am in my son*s room tonight. I guess I had dozed off because the next thing I know, I woke up with a yelp and a scream. I don*t recall the dream, but, I had a distressful night. My hand had fallen asleep while I slumbered. I woke up, jumped out of bed, tried to shake feeling back in my hand... and called out a name. *SD

It*s a cold and foggy day, but beautiful still. Shanathan and I made it safely to his school this time. *SD

A Revelation

A little while ago, I remembered something. It revealed to me the first event that led to my anxiety disorder, and it involved my daughter, my sweet JillianJon. I promise to share this with you all at an inspired time. The interesting, and telling thing, about this revelation, if you will, is that the journey down Panick Avenue, began long before I thought it had. But, it wasn*t evidenced until the time just before Patsy Ramsey*s demise that fateful summer day. This thought came to me before, but I had not put it into my long term memory. It also may not have been the stimulating, and inpirational, time then. All things in good time. And, the journey continues. *SDRoads

After viewing the special aircraft, a thought came to me. There is that job where folk clean the inside of planes after flights. That would be a great job for me to have, not career, but job. I guess it all depends on what you are contemplating on. LoL I used to go to another IHOP when I lived by the beach, regularly, with a friend of mine whom is trans gender. Updates of Local Fires

We still are feeling the effects here of all the local fires. Why, just yesterday, I interviewed a gal that was ordered by her doctor to wear a mask, due to her sinuses developing an infection because of the recent air quality. ~ An Alahambra fire is under investigation by federal agents for what appears to be arson. ~ A local woman lost much due to fire, but was shortly later met with a wonderful surprise. Cadaver dogs found her late husband*s ashes intact. *SD

The War

Good news!! Gas rates have plummeted in Pasadena, California! A few moments ago, the price was $1.87 per gallon at one gas station, and then just dropped to $1.85, in an attempt by the gas station owner to compete with the nearby gas station, hence the use of the word, war. It is a price war, and everybody is winning. *SDRoads, reporting

Local NewsFlash

Car collision at Victory and Coldwater Canyon. Witnesses standing by. Further, it is very dark around here. There is not a lot of street light. There is also not light on the outside of our apartment building tonight. We had made a pit stop home a bit ago. More responders have arrived at the scene of the accident. We will be off to dinner soon. Time for a Happy Meal. Shanathan sure deserves one. They have toys from the movie Madagascar, there now. How Cute!

A JonBenet look~a~like (naturally) had just smiled at Shanathan, said hi to both of us, and smiled again! Her mother had pulled over to the side of the road, to talk to someone in a car behind her. It*s becomming a little hard to breath out here now. This is alarming. We don*t live that far from here. We just saw a bus driver with a mask on. We saw an amazing road that appeared to be in the wilderness, like out of nowhere. I asked him, "How far do you go?" I had to ask twice. He ended up telling me 14 miles to Woodland Hills, as I recall. Even with his mask off, it was difficult communicating with him. He appeared to be having trouble talking, perhaps even breathing. I am over halfway done with work. Yaay! Actually, I don*t mind work. :) *SD

The Most Beautiful House

It brings back warm memories of a house I lived in in Dedham, Mass. as a child, one Christmas. I don*t recall my parents owning that house for 2 Christmastimes. And back to California we went. The View

This photo makes my apartment building look crooked. Haha This is one of my favorite pictures. I get to see this every morning from my patio and living room window. The sun actually rises on the other side of my apartment each morn. This picture was taken later in the day. But, still, the view is equally stunning in the morning. It*s Time

... for me to speak to city officials to help stop D. Lawless from sadly changing the landscape of the humble,quaint, warm, and picturesque local shopping mall in NORTH HOLLYWOOD, NOT Valley Glen, as they seem to insist on calling the area. This is going to be a hard task, mission, to take on. But after the interview I had earlier today, it will be well worth it. I just hope I don*t receive too much of a bashing from the bigwigs with the "power". They will be driving prices up and people out with the redevelopment. Some that run and own stores are worried or are in a wait and see mode. Lawless has put them on shaky ground, as an earthquake could. It was said directly to me, at the art exhibit put on by D. Lawless in a store, a beautiful store I might add (Once was, anyway. Now it is more barron, even with all of the beauty of art filling the room and splashing the walls.), that had not been filled by new tenants, yet. What was stated to me by the wife, among other things, was that they had asked the community how they felt about the new endeavor. I was told things that would lead one to believe that the wife felt she could sleep easy at night, so to speak, because the community gave them the goahead. But I ask, whom did they ask? Not the folks I spoke with today, not me, not the gentleman, whom somewhat recently became established at the mall, that hopes the prices don*t get jacked up. The biggest of the wigs, the driving force behind all of this changing of the guards mentality, went out of his way to announce that he is Republican at the art show award announcement. I felt a cold chill in the air when he announced it. It was as though time stood still for 4 seconds after the chill*s numbing affect. He*s a Republican, what more could I excpect? Jk I hope he*s a nice man, one willing to sit down whth the patron*s, the ones with the true power, the power of the good ole buckaroo, the buying power, and listen to the needs and desires of us. Hey, without us, he is nowhere. But, I think I know what may be happening here, and it has to do with the Class issue, yet again. More to come. *SDRoads

It feels like New Year*s Eve! My youngest just asked if he could write "Obama" on the flag as he waved the flag. I have tears of joy. I had even done my happy dance. He just said that this has been a long journey that has come to an end. As he spoke congratulatory of Obama, there were boos, he did not like that, and asked it to stop. He also said Obama*s victory and way command his respect. He wants us to not only congratulate Obama, but also help him in his endeavor for a brighter future for America, our America. It is though this was meant to be. His speech is so warm. He commands my respect. He felt he failed. McCain did not fail. Palin was holding back tears. I hope he runs again in four years, though he feels he is a servant of Her, America, and that is enough for him. They are saying the boos were disturbing. One wondered if some in his crowd, McCain*s crowd, "felt the moment". It was just discussed that the man that just made this speech is the man that could have won, not the (fist) pounding version. They are guessing 10 or 11 pm central time for the speech. Of course, 8 years ago we did not know the winner until many days after the polls closed. So nothing can be taken for granted.

Yes, Barack will speak tonight. Whether it is a victory speech or a concession speech remains to be discovered. People are still voting.

This Just In!

Well, actually, a bit ago, this came in from a viewer and friend to my e-mail account:



I just got home from voting and running some errands. There was only about a 10 minute wait at my polling place. My ballot was number 387 in my precinct. I usually vote at 4 or 5 pm and my ballot is usually less than number 100. Today at 11 am I was number 387. Sounds like a big big turnout. That makes the results of the polls less accurate, I think.

My son's job is directly across the street from Grant Park, in Chicago, where Obama will be speaking tonight. They are expecting a million people in the park on the shores of Lake Michigan to hear Obama speak tonight. Wow, a million people! Half of downtown Chicago is starting to close down to make room for the crowds of people, some of which have been waiting since last night. My son is at work, but he will be leaving early snce his building will be closing in the next hour. He can see the whole park from his office window.

There! All done.

Actually, I was in and out of my polling place pretty fast. I am already at my school. There were important issues to vote on and important people to vote about. Let*s all pray for the best! *SDRoads
