Hello Chicago

As I eagerly and merrily awaited to hear Obama*s words, I was ever so pleased and surprised to see The First Family come out. This moment brings change to America, Obama said. Congratulations Obama and family, including the new puppy elect, LoL, and to Biden and family! I am happy Obama is looking forward to working with McCain and Palin. I am so proud of how his campaign got started, on a small strained budget, and how it grew. God Bless Obama. Me, on to listening to the rest of his speech. "We as a people will get there." *SDRoads, reporting Goodnight all.

It feels like New Year*s Eve! My youngest just asked if he could write "Obama" on the flag as he waved the flag. I have tears of joy. I had even done my happy dance. I recall a post I wrote long ago here. Well, not THAT long. LoL I posted, "I Tell Ya, He*s Already In", refering to Obama. It has been a journey for me to that final decision on who to vote for, filled with the heart of emotion, mixed with the science of fact, and the wonder of what really is the truth. It*s like the title of this site reads, "WHO REALLY KNOWS...?" This is such an important decision for us all to collectively make. McCain just began his speech. He just said that this has been a long journey that has come to an end. As he spoke congratulatory of Obama, there were boos, he did not like that, and asked it to stop. He also said Obama*s victory and way command his respect. He wants us to not only congratulate Obama, but also help him in his endeavor for a brighter future for America, our America. It is though this was meant to be. His speech is so warm. He commands my respect. He felt he failed. McCain did not fail. Palin was holding back tears. I hope he runs again in four years, though he feels he is a servant of Her, America, and that is enough for him. They are saying the boos were disturbing. One wondered if some in his crowd, McCain*s crowd, "felt the moment". It was just discussed that the man that just made this speech is the man that could have won, not the (fist) pounding version. God Bless them all. God Bless us all. *SDRoads, reporting

Obama Did It!

Barack's grandmother

I think the person who is related and possibly illegal is another relative, possibly an Aunt, not Barack's grandmother.

Reyes Feels Honored

Reyes, the gentleman I nearly voted for, feels honored to have the opportunity to be on the ballot. *SDRoads

Boy O boy! This is a tight race for Obama and McCain!

They must each have irritable bowel syndrome right now. I*m serious. Ya can*t run for the Presidency and not get that with such a close race as this, I feel, anyway. *SD

Hospital Patients Luck Out

A nice surprise was received by many a hospital patient whom did not
have to miss out on voting in this historical Presidential Election.
This, thanxx to a group of kindly citizens who are bringing ballots to
the shut ins. One receiver of this service said he feels "empowered"
to have this opportunity. *SDRoads, reporting

Update to the next post:

No, wait, I just realized, I believe I heard that she was arrested for not being properly documented while in the states. Was that the same woman? Please respond here, in the comments section, so that all may read. Thanxx. -SD

More from my friend...

They are guessing 10 or 11 pm central time for the speech. Of course, 8 years ago we did not know the winner until many days after the polls closed. So nothing can be taken for granted.

Yes, Barack will speak tonight. Whether it is a victory speech or a concession speech remains to be discovered. People are still voting.

Did you hear that Barack's grandmother died yesterday. That is the woman who raised him for many years. She died one day before the election. It is so sad.

Yes, that is sad. I did hear of that, but, honestly, with all that is going on, I had forgotten. Thank you for reminding me and letting me post your updates at this site. -SD

This Just In!

Well, actually, a bit ago, this came in from a viewer and friend to my e-mail account:

I just got home from voting and running some errands. There was only about a 10 minute wait at my polling place. My ballot was number 387 in my precinct. I usually vote at 4 or 5 pm and my ballot is usually less than number 100. Today at 11 am I was number 387. Sounds like a big big turnout. That makes the results of the polls less accurate, I think.

My son's job is directly across the street from Grant Park, in Chicago, where Obama will be speaking tonight. They are expecting a million people in the park on the shores of Lake Michigan to hear Obama speak tonight. Wow, a million people! Half of downtown Chicago is starting to close down to make room for the crowds of people, some of which have been waiting since last night. My son is at work, but he will be leaving early snce his building will be closing in the next hour. He can see the whole park from his office window.

There! All done.

Actually, I was in and out of my polling place pretty fast. I am already at my school. There were important issues to vote on and important people to vote about. Let*s all pray for the best! *SDRoads

Well, the big day is here!

I*m on my way to vote now. They say this is the most important election of our lifetimes. I am putting faith in whom I pick, that against the unfavorable reports, he will always choose to do the right things and put our country, this great nation of ours, first. Time to wait in line. *SDRoads
