It*s Time
... for me to speak to city officials to help stop D. Lawless from sadly changing the landscape of the humble,quaint, warm, and picturesque local shopping mall in NORTH HOLLYWOOD, NOT Valley Glen, as they seem to insist on calling the area. This is going to be a hard task, mission, to take on. But after the interview I had earlier today, it will be well worth it. I just hope I don*t receive too much of a bashing from the bigwigs with the "power". They will be driving prices up and people out with the redevelopment. Some that run and own stores are worried or are in a wait and see mode. Lawless has put them on shaky ground, as an earthquake could. It was said directly to me, at the art exhibit put on by D. Lawless in a store, a beautiful store I might add (Once was, anyway. Now it is more barron, even with all of the beauty of art filling the room and splashing the walls.), that had not been filled by new tenants, yet. What was stated to me by the wife, among other things, was that they had asked the community how they felt about the new endeavor. I was told things that would lead one to believe that the wife felt she could sleep easy at night, so to speak, because the community gave them the goahead. But I ask, whom did they ask? Not the folks I spoke with today, not me, not the gentleman, whom somewhat recently became established at the mall, that hopes the prices don*t get jacked up. The biggest of the wigs, the driving force behind all of this changing of the guards mentality, went out of his way to announce that he is Republican at the art show award announcement. I felt a cold chill in the air when he announced it. It was as though time stood still for 4 seconds after the chill*s numbing affect. He*s a Republican, what more could I excpect? Jk I hope he*s a nice man, one willing to sit down whth the patron*s, the ones with the true power, the power of the good ole buckaroo, the buying power, and listen to the needs and desires of us. Hey, without us, he is nowhere. But, I think I know what may be happening here, and it has to do with the Class issue, yet again. More to come. *SDRoads
