The Five O*clock Hour
It*s the Five O'Clock Hour and channel 7 is out. I had gone to pick up my son and shopping, so I am not sure when 7 lost its signal. *SDRoads
The Update
Channel 9 went out around 1:15 p.m. on the old t.v. and the newer. Then, I switched them to channel 2. The old t.v. had a teaching segment on turning digital, while the newer set had a soap opera on. Then, the newer set cut out, but only on channel 2. We then autoscanned the newest set. Channel 2 came back, but, 9 is still out. Stay tuned. *SDRoads, reporting
Gone Fishin'
... for good. Well, today is the day. T.V. is changing forever. It*s goin' digital. And today, at 1 p.m., CBS, (home of weather anchor Jackie Johnson, ray of sunshine), its channel 2, along with what appears to be its sister station, KCal 9, are making the switch. I am lucky enough to have an old black and white t.v., reminiscent of the I Love Lucy Days, to see this history in the making. I think I will put my old set next to my new modern color set and play them side by side when it happens. Farewell analog. *SDRoads, reporting
