I got the date confirmed to meet with the assemblyman!!!!!!!!!! I am trying to get it for a Wednesday or a Friday, outside of the originally tentative Tuesday date. But, that is because it works better for me. Otherwise, I will be more than happy to keep the date I have coming. Yee Haw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -SD

Good morning everyone.

I hope your day is going well. I am in a very important meeting now. It is so tough: We must vote and prioritize many items for the future of our local elementary school; our kids, teachers, and all staff, both great and small. It is like their fate is in our hands. At least Cortinez gave us 800,000 dollars in the stimulus package. That is double what we usually get! *SDRoads


UPDATE: Well, at the conclusion of the meeting, all of our recommendations have been submitted. I will be seeing those again on Monday, at the SSC (School Site Council) meeting, where we will be voting on these recommendations. I think all will be on board with our recommendations, and all will be a go. Hooray!!! Things are lookin' up for next year! I have a correction to make. It was not the 800,000 grand I had reported we received. It was actually 890,000 dollars!!!!!! -SD Updated at 1:25 p.m., April 24th, 2009
