The Snow Capped Mountains Of Warm And Sunny Southern California

I am at Mount Gleason and Foothill. There is a feeling of Christmas in the air. The view of the mountains is phenomenal. So many different kinds of mountains, each in various forms of dress, from angel wing white snow to green flourishing bushes to yellow green farm grass to the golden sandy scapes. *SDRoads

The Scenery

Howdy y*all. I am on a bus trip right now. Just soaking in some local color, local Fall color. The view from the window is wonderful. Country Club Drive looks stunning. The local parks are spectacular. The streets hold the traditional glorious decorations of which I have almost forgotten. I*ve just left Glendale and entered Montrose. There is a warm chill in the crisp air. I write "warm" because the invigorating chill makes one think of warm hot chocolate with snow white marshmallows. The kind of cocoa one may find at their local towne skating arena. Moments ago, we were at Honolulu and Orangedale. The names make me think of my son*s Christmas recital, with a Hawaiian theme, he performed in yesterday. The looks remind me of Boulder, Colorado, Pearl Street. Colorado, the state I hope to one day call home. *SDRoads
